How our articles are made

Our editorial process is built around one rule: every article must give the reader accurate, verified information with no invented detail. The steps are the same for every story:

• Sourcing. We gather reporting from established, reputable newsrooms - organisations such as the BBC, Reuters, the Associated Press, CNN and other recognised publishers. We do not source from anonymous blogs, social media rumours, or low-quality sites.
• Multi-source verification. We publish a story only when it has been independently reported by two or more of these newsrooms. If only a single source carries a claim, we hold it back rather than publish something we cannot corroborate.
• Original writing. Each article is written in our own words as a single, clear news report. We do not copy text from the original reports, and we do not reproduce full articles.
• Attribution. Every article credits the news sources it draws on and links back to the original reporting, so readers can always go to the primary source for full detail.

Accuracy and factual discipline

We use only facts that appear in the source reports. We do not add numbers, dates, names, places or quotes that are not in those reports, and we do not fill gaps with guesses. Where reputable sources disagree on a fact, we attribute the difference rather than pick one version. Nobody is described as guilty of a crime unless the reporting supports it; we use "accused", "alleged" and "police say" as the sources do.

AI assistance and human standards

Our summaries are produced with the help of artificial intelligence, working to the editorial rules described on this page. We are transparent about this: every article carries a clear notice that it was written with AI assistance from the listed sources. AI helps us work quickly, but the standards - accuracy, verification, attribution, and careful handling of sensitive stories - are fixed and non-negotiable.

Sensitive stories

For stories involving suicide, self-harm, or similar sensitive matters, we follow responsible-reporting practice: we do not describe methods, we do not sensationalise, and we keep coverage brief and factual. Our aim is never to cause harm to readers.

Corrections

We take accuracy seriously and correct mistakes promptly. If you spot a factual error, email us at auditor@trendingwire.news and we will review it. Where an error is confirmed, we will correct or remove the article. Every article page also carries this correction contact directly.
