Saudi King and Crown Prince Congratulate UAE President on National Day
By TrendingWire Newsroom
Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have sent separate congratulatory messages to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of Union Day, the country's national holiday. The cables were dispatched on Saturday, expressing warm wishes for the president's health and happiness, as well as continued progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
In his message, King Salman highlighted the strong fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He reaffirmed both nations' commitment to enhancing and developing cooperation across various fields. The Crown Prince echoed similar sentiments, underscoring the deep-rooted relationship and shared interests.
Union Day, celebrated annually on December 2, marks the unification of the seven emirates into the United Arab Emirates in 1971. This year's anniversary comes amid continued collaboration between the two Gulf allies on economic, political, and security issues. The exchange of congratulations is a traditional gesture reflecting the close bonds between the leadership of both countries.
The Saudi leaders' messages did not specify any particular initiatives but emphasized the enduring partnership. The UAE president has yet to respond publicly to the greetings.
