US Airstrikes in Southern Iran Kill Several Civilians, Report Says

By TrendingWire Newsroom

Local Iranian media reported that US airstrikes in the southern Hormozgan province over the past two nights killed about seven to eight people, all civilians, according to Ahmad Moradi, a representative for the province, speaking to Iran's Tasnim news agency. Tasnim said one strike hit a bridge in the province, striking two family cars and killing six people. The agency also reported that a neighborhood in Bandar Abbas called Tappeh Allaho Akbar was hit, killing a woman and causing a one-year-old child to lose a limb. Additionally, a driver delivering fuel to petrol stations was killed in a fire. The US has not commented on the reported strikes. Hormozgan province is located along the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic waterway for global oil shipments. The incident comes amid ongoing tensions between the US and Iran. Local authorities are investigating the attacks, and further details are expected.
