Sri Lanka Cricket has issued a statement reaffirming its strict stance against corruption following the arrest of former India under-19 cricketer Manjot Kalra. Kalra faces allegations of corrupt practices during the Lanka Premier League (LPL). The cricketing body has vowed full cooperation with the police special investigation unit handling the case. Officials emphasized that the ongoing investigation will not disrupt the tournament's schedule. Sri Lanka Cricket also assured that robust anti-corruption measures remain in place to safeguard the integrity of the league. The board's statement reiterated a zero-tolerance policy toward any form of corruption in the sport. Kalra, who was a key player in India's 2018 Under-19 World Cup victory, has been taken into custody. Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the matter. The LPL, which features several international players, continues as planned.
