Auburn’s Golesh Brings Quarterback Brown from South Florida

New Auburn head coach Alex Golesh has moved quickly to bolster his roster, bringing quarterback Byrum Brown with him from South Florida. Brown, who played under Golesh at USF, is expected to compete for the starting job in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Golesh, who was hired by Auburn earlier this offseason, is confident that Brown can thrive at the highest level of college football. “He’s a talented player with a strong work ethic,” Golesh said. “I’ve seen him develop, and I believe he’s ready for the challenge.” Brown had a standout career at South Florida, where he threw for over 3,000 yards and 25 touchdowns last season.
