Deadline frames the announcement as part of a pattern: the show joins fellow 20th Television Animation comedies The Simpsons and Family Guy in releasing an original installment exclusively on the Disney streaming home. Variety, however, emphasizes the short’s plot, describing a “record-breaking Christmas snowstorm” that leads the Belcher kids to build a massive indoor fort. Variety also notes that the short will be available internationally for most Disney+ subscribers, a detail Deadline omits.
