In two unrelated incidents reported recently, a 19-year-old is at risk of losing vision in his right eye after a pellet injury, while authorities recovered the body of a missing 10-year-old boy from a lake.
Sahil Lochab underwent surgery to remove pellets, and his family says doctors have informed them that there is only a 1 percent chance of vision returning in the injured eye, as the pupil was damaged.
Separately, RCMP reported that the body of one of two missing boys has been recovered at Nutimik Lake in Whiteshell Provincial Park. The boy, aged 10, went underwater and was swept away. The search continues for his 13-year-old brother.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
