He also pointed out the absence of Kuldeep Yadav and Sanju Samson, saying the squad lacked right-handed batting options. Vihari's comments came after India defeated Zimbabwe by seven wickets in the first T20I to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The five-match series is part of India's preparation for upcoming international commitments. Vihari, who has represented India in Tests, expressed surprise at the selectors' decisions, suggesting that players in form should have been included. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has not yet responded to the criticism. The second T20I is scheduled to be played soon.
