Police Use Force to Disperse CJP Protesters Marching to Parliament
By TrendingWire Newsroom
Supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) attempted to march towards Parliament on Monday, leading to clashes with police and Rapid Action Force personnel near Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. The protest, called 'Chalo Sansad', was against alleged irregularities in the NEET examinations. Despite prohibitory orders in place, the demonstrators tried to proceed towards Parliament, prompting police to use lathis (batons) to control the crowd. Security was heightened across New Delhi as the Monsoon Session of Parliament began. Prominent supporters like Chandra Shekhar Azad and actor Prakash Raj extended their backing to the agitators. The CJP has stated that it remains open to discussions with the government on examination reforms. The situation was brought under control after police intervention.
