Two young girls from Alberta got a unique opportunity to lead an RCMP detachment as part of a program by the Kids with Cancer Society. Maya Ferguson, 10, from Spruce Grove, and Haley Nedeljak, 11, from Edmonton, spent a day at the RCMP station in Stony Plain, where they took on the roles of commanding officers. They participated in various activities, including inspecting the fleet, attending briefings, and even making radio calls. The event was organized in partnership with the Kids with Cancer Society, an organization that supports children diagnosed with cancer and their families. The program aims to give these children memorable experiences and a break from their medical routines.
