Iranian Filmmaker Asghar Farhadi to Receive Top Honor at Sarajevo Film Festival

The Sarajevo Film Festival will honor acclaimed Iranian director and screenwriter Asghar Farhadi with the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award for his outstanding contribution to cinema. The award will be presented during the 32nd edition of the festival, running from August 14 to 21. Farhadi, a two-time Oscar winner for best foreign language film with "A Separation" and "The Salesman," will personally accept the award in person. As part of his tribute, the festival will screen a retrospective of his work in its 'Tribute To' program. British actress Emily Watson will also be recognized during the event. Farhadi, known for his deeply humanistic storytelling, returns to Sarajevo eight years after his last visit to the festival.
