Saudi King, Crown Prince Send Condolences to Bangladesh for Deadly Floods

By TrendingWire Newsroom

Saudi Arabia's King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have expressed their condolences to Bangladesh after heavy rains triggered floods and landslides, killing dozens. In separate cables to Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin, the Saudi leaders offered their heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and the people of Bangladesh. King Salman prayed for mercy for those who died and for strength for the grieving families. The crown prince also conveyed his profound sympathy, urging patience and solace for the affected communities. Bangladesh, a low-lying country in South Asia, frequently suffers from severe flooding during the monsoon season. This year's heavy rains have caused landslides in hilly regions and submerged vast areas, displacing thousands. At least 60 people have been reported dead, with many more missing. The Saudi gestures reflect the strong ties between the two nations. Saudi Arabia has previously provided humanitarian aid to Bangladesh during natural disasters. The condolences come as rescue efforts continue in the hardest-hit districts, where authorities are working to provide shelter and food to survivors.
