The Civil Defense warnings followed a statement from the Saudi-led coalition on Friday, saying it had targeted Houthi sites and destroyed objects threatening commercial vessels. The coalition described these actions as a response to attacks on Red Sea shipping.
A Yemeni security source told AFP that the coalition strikes hit a naval base in the port city of Hodeida and a military camp on Kamaran Island. The source did not provide further details on damage or casualties.
The situation remains tense, with ongoing conflict between the Saudi-led coalition and Houthi forces. The coalition has been engaged in military operations in Yemen since 2015, aiming to restore the internationally recognized government.
