Trump Revives Election Fraud Claims, Citing Declassified Documents Despite Intel Rebuttal
By TrendingWire Newsroom
Former President Donald Trump has again asserted that the 2020 US election was rigged, this time focusing on alleged interference by China and Russia. In a primetime address, Trump accused China of orchestrating what he called the “largest election data breach in history” and released declassified documents that he claims prove foreign meddling. The documents were provided to the White House by intelligence agencies.
However, US intelligence officials have stated there is no evidence that foreign actors altered the election outcome. While acknowledging vulnerabilities, they maintain that no foreign interference changed vote counts. Trump’s allegations echo previous unsubstantiated claims of a “fabricated” election.
The president’s move to declassify and publicize the documents is seen as an effort to lend legitimacy to his claims, but intelligence assessments consistently contradict his narrative. The controversy highlights ongoing tensions between the White House and intelligence community over the election’s integrity.
