Veteran TV and film producers Alon Shtruzman and Scott Einbinder have launched a new studio called New Short Media, focused on creating vertical micro-dramas for mobile audiences. The studio, backed by a consortium of investors, aims to bring well-known content creators, actors, and creative talent to the format of short, vertical series. Shtruzman and Einbinder are known for their work on projects such as 'La Brea,' 'Our Boys,' 'Killer Joe,' and 'The Hitman's Bodyguard.' The new venture will operate alongside their existing production company, 5X Media. As part of the launch, director Gev Miron and writer-producer Russell Rothberg have joined the studio. New Short Media intends to produce innovative micro-series that appeal to viewers on platforms that favor vertical video. The move reflects a growing trend in the entertainment industry toward bite-sized, mobile-friendly content.
