Prime Video India has signed a multi-year distribution deal with South Korean studio CJ ENM, bringing more than 100 Korean titles to the streaming service’s Indian lineup over the next two years. The agreement includes 26 new titles that will be rolled out, along with popular shows from CJ ENM’s existing content library.
The expanded partnership builds on a previous collaboration between the two companies. Among the new titles heading to Prime Video India are the cooking competition show 'The Legend of Kitchen Soldier' and the romance drama 'Yumi’s Cells,' based on a popular webtoon. The slate covers a wide range of genres, including reality TV, variety shows, and scripted series.
CJ ENM is a major Korean entertainment company behind hits like 'Parasite' and 'Crash Landing on You.' The deal aims to tap into India’s growing appetite for Korean content, which has surged in recent years thanks to platforms like Netflix and YouTube.
Prime Video subscribers in India will get access to the CJ ENM library, which includes both original series and films. The streaming service did not disclose the financial terms of the deal. The rollout of the new titles will begin later this year and continue over the next 24 months.
