AgiBot, a fast-growing Chinese robotics company, is preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to sources familiar with the matter. The Shanghai-based firm has hired Citic Securities as a sponsor for the listing. Additionally, China International Capital Corporation (CICC) and Morgan Stanley have also been appointed as joint sponsors, one of the sources said.
The company has shown signs of moving toward an IPO since it restructured from a limited liability company to a joint-stock limited company last year. This type of restructuring is a common step for companies planning to go public in Hong Kong.
AgiBot is known for developing advanced robotics technologies, though specific details about its products or financial performance were not disclosed in the report. The company’s decision to pursue a Hong Kong listing reflects the growing interest among Chinese tech firms in accessing international capital markets.
The IPO process is still in its early stages, and the timing and size of the offering have not been finalized. Representatives from AgiBot, Citic Securities, CICC, and Morgan Stanley declined to comment or did not immediately respond to inquiries.
