The company that runs the Mexican Stock Exchange, Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, reported a rise in profit for the second quarter of 2026, beating market forecasts. Net profit reached 406 million Mexican pesos (about 23.3 million US dollars), up from 400 million pesos in the same period last year. Total revenue came in at 1.198 billion pesos (around 68.9 million dollars), driven by strong performance in capital markets and derivatives trading. Income from capital markets activities grew by 16 percent, supported by a 20 percent jump in the average daily value of shares traded. The company also saw growth in its custody services. Revenue from Indeval, its securities depository division, increased by 9 percent. The operator did not provide further details on the factors behind the revenue growth. The results were released after the close of trading. Analysts had expected lower numbers, making the announcement a positive surprise for investors. The company continues to benefit from active trading volumes and the expansion of its services. The Mexican stock exchange is one of the largest in Latin America, and its operator's financial performance is closely watched as a sign of market health.
