Iranian Media Report Explosions in Khorramabad and Strikes on US Assets in Bahrain
By TrendingWire Newsroom
Iranian state media reported on Saturday that explosions were heard in the city of Khorramabad in Lorestan province, allegedly caused by US missile strikes launched from Kuwait. The reports could not be independently verified.
According to Iran's Tasnim news agency, citing a military statement, Iranian missiles targeted US military assets and fuel tanks at the Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain, as well as several communication bridges. The statement claimed the US had used the base for operations against regional targets, including Iran.
Bahrain activated warning sirens for the fourth time, and its Interior Ministry urged citizens to remain calm and seek shelter.
Tasnim also reported that US strikes hit a location in Jask and damaged two bridges on the vital Bandar Abbas-Rudan transportation route.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti army said it was responding to Iranian missile and drone attacks for the third time, calling on residents to follow safety instructions from authorities.
The developments come amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, with ongoing conflicts in the region. No independent confirmation of the claims has been provided yet.
