He urged Iran to refrain from escalation and to end any support for Russia's war against Ukraine, calling the war illegal. Sybiha also spoke with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, who posted that they discussed challenges including Iran's threat.
In a separate development, Malaysia's foreign minister has called for a review of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) presence in the country, citing rising local backlash against Rohingya refugees. The minister urged stricter controls on the agency's operations, as the UNHCR faces pressure to address refugee management concerns.
