Yemen's Houthi forces have launched a new wave of attacks, firing ballistic missiles at the Red Sea port city of Mocha and striking targets in Marib and Hadramout with drones and missiles, officials said.
Yemen's government-aligned military said the Houthis fired ballistic missiles at Mocha, describing it as one of several attacks in recent days amid renewed hostilities between the rebels and government troops.
The Houthis, for their part, said they carried out drone and ballistic missile attacks in Marib and Hadramout.
The attacks mark an escalation in the long-running conflict between the Iran-aligned Houthis and the Saudi-backed Yemeni government, which has been fighting for control of the country since 2014.
