Iranian Drones Attack US Military Bases in Kuwait

By TrendingWire Newsroom

Iranian drones struck two American military bases in Kuwait, according to Iranian state media reports. The attacks targeted the Ali Al-Salem Air Base and Camp Udairi, which are key US military facilities in the region. Ali Al-Salem serves as a major air transport hub for forces entering West Asia, while Camp Udairi is a support and reorganization center located about 104 kilometers from Iran's border. The drone strikes were part of what Iran described as the 16th phase of Operation Sa'eqeh (Thunderbolt). Iranian media reported that the drones used were of the kamikaze type, designed to dive into targets. In response, US jets conducted strikes on locations in Iran. One strike hit near the city of Shadegan in Khuzestan province. Another round of strikes targeted Qeshm Island, where further explosions were heard. The reports came from Iran's Tasnim news agency, without details on casualties or damage. The incident marks an escalation in tensions between Iran and the United States, which have been at odds over various issues. Both countries have military assets in the region, and such direct attacks raise fears of wider conflict. The full extent of the damage and any casualties from either side remains unclear at this time.
