By TrendingWire Newsroom

The third edition of Bharat Tex, a global textile trade fair, concluded on Friday after four days of business and networking. Organizers announced that the event attracted investment commitments totaling Rs 14,300 crore (approximately $1.7 billion). More than 1.15 lakh visitors attended the fair, which is one of India's largest textile showcases. The investment pledges came from various sectors of the textile industry, including manufacturing, technology, and sustainable practices. The fair served as a platform for Indian and international companies to explore partnerships and expand operations. India's textile industry is a major contributor to the economy, employing millions and generating significant export revenue. The strong turnout and investment commitments signal confidence in India's textile sector, which has been focusing on modernization and sustainability. The event featured exhibitions, seminars, and networking opportunities for industry players. Officials expressed optimism that the pledged investments will create jobs and boost production capacity. Bharat Tex is organized by the Ministry of Textiles and industry bodies to promote India as a global textile hub. The next edition is expected to build on this year's success.
