Local authorities are investigating the blasts. Reports of a missile hitting the Sarmich Bridge, located in Sistan and Baluchestan province, were dismissed by the deputy governor, Salim Kadkhoda, who spoke to IRNA. The US has not officially commented on the incident. Qeshm Island is a strategically important area in the Persian Gulf, often a focal point in regional tensions. The reported strike comes amid ongoing hostilities between the US and Iran, including US airstrikes against Iranian-backed groups in other parts of the Middle East.
