Luke Wilson Excited for 'The Family Stone' Sequel: 'I Can't Believe It's Happening'
By TrendingWire Newsroom
Luke Wilson has shared an update on the upcoming sequel to the 2005 holiday film 'The Family Stone.' The actor, who played Ben Stone in the original movie, said he is thrilled about the project. 'I can’t believe it’s happening,' Wilson said.
Tom Bezucha, who wrote and directed the original film, is currently writing the sequel. According to Wilson, the script is already completed and very funny. 'Tom Bezucha is a great writer and a great director. I read the script, and it’s really funny,' Wilson added.
The original 'The Family Stone' starred Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Rachel McAdams. It followed the Stone family during a chaotic Christmas gathering. The sequel will continue the story, though plot details remain under wraps.
Wilson did not confirm his involvement beyond reading the script, but fans are hopeful that many original cast members will return. There is no official release date yet.
'It’s a wonderful script, and I hope it all comes together,' Wilson said.
