James Gunn Says Big Brother Contestant Rick Devens Was Set for DC Cameo But Had to Cancel
By TrendingWire Newsroom
James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, is a fan of the reality show 'Big Brother.' His friend Rick Devens is a contestant on the current season (Season 28). During a recent live eviction episode, Devens gave Gunn a shoutout while casting his vote. Gunn later shared the clip on social media and revealed more behind the scenes.
Gunn said that Devens was supposed to make a cameo in the upcoming DC film 'Superman: Man of Tomorrow.' However, Devens had to cancel the appearance because of rules related to his participation in the CBS competition. The nature of the conflict was not specified, but it appears that CBS's reality show restrictions prevented him from filming the cameo.
This is not the first time Gunn has shown appreciation for 'Big Brother.' He has previously tweeted about the show. The cameo would have been a fun addition for fans of both the superhero franchise and the reality series. As of now, there is no word on whether Devens will get another chance to appear in a future DC project.
Devens continues to compete on 'Big Brother 28,' which airs on CBS. Meanwhile, Gunn is busy with multiple DC projects, including the upcoming 'Superman' film.
