A French modelling scout who had ties to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has been found dead at his home outside Paris, prosecutors said on Wednesday.
Daniel Siad's body was discovered on Monday evening. The Nanterre prosecutor's office said an autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death.
Siad's name appeared nearly 2,000 times in the Epstein files recently released by the U.S. Department of Justice. The files include documents related to Epstein's network of associates and victims.
Jeffrey Epstein was a wealthy financier who was convicted of sex trafficking minors in 2008 and faced federal charges in 2019 before his death in a New York jail, which was ruled a suicide.
The investigation into Siad's death is ongoing. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances.
