Jon Rahm stays quiet on 2027 LIV Golf plans
By TrendingWire Newsroom
Jon Rahm has refused to confirm whether he will remain with LIV Golf beyond the current season. The Spanish golfer, who joined the Saudi-backed league in late 2023, said he is aware of discussions regarding his future but cannot share details. “We know a lot of what's going on,” Rahm told reporters. “But I'm not in a position to talk about it yet.”
Rahm’s comments come amid ongoing uncertainty about LIV Golf’s long-term structure and player contracts. The league has been working to secure its place in professional golf, with several top players including Rahm signing lucrative deals to leave the PGA Tour. However, questions remain about whether LIV will continue after its current broadcast agreement expires.
When asked specifically about a potential return to the PGA Tour or DP World Tour, Rahm did not rule out any options. He emphasized that he is focused on his performance this season. “I’m just trying to play good golf and see what happens,” he said.
The 30-year-old is currently competing in LIV Golf events and is expected to be part of the league’s future plans. But until an official announcement is made, fans and analysts will have to wait for clarity on his commitment beyond 2026.
Rahm’s hesitation to speak openly reflects the broader uncertainty surrounding LIV Golf’s direction. The league has faced criticism but also attracted major stars with its big contracts and shorter format. For now, Rahm is keeping his cards close to his chest.
