A Delhi Police constable has been arrested for allegedly masterminding a series of ATM thefts in Faridabad after losing Rs 6 lakh in online gaming. Police said the constable recruited a team and taught them criminal techniques using internet videos.
The gang used gas cutters to rip open two ATM machines and stole over Rs 12 lakh. However, the constable reportedly received no share of the loot because his gang members refused to split the money with him.
Five people, including the constable, have been arrested in connection with the robberies. Investigators identified the constable as the alleged mastermind behind the operation.
