Yemen's Houthi-run media reported on Friday that Saudi air strikes hit telecommunications facilities in the rebel-held city of Hodeida and also targeted Kamaran Island. According to Al-Masirah TV, which is controlled by the Houthi group, a series of strikes struck facilities belonging to the telecommunications authority in Hodeida, as well as the island. The reports did not provide details on casualties or damage. Hodeida, a major port city on the Red Sea, has been under Houthi control for years and has repeatedly been a target of the Saudi-led coalition's military operations. Kamaran Island, located off the coast of Yemen, is also under Houthi control. The strikes come amid ongoing conflict between the Houthis and the Saudi-led coalition, which has been fighting to restore the internationally recognized Yemeni government. Both sides have accused each other of violating ceasefires and targeting civilian infrastructure. The Houthi media did not specify the exact time of the strikes or provide further information.
