Pakistan's interior minister declared on Thursday that the country's governance system has collapsed, warning that young people could spark a major movement unless structural changes are made. Speaking at the Pakistan Economic Summit in Islamabad, Naqvi said the existing system is no longer capable of solving Pakistan's problems. He urged political parties to create new administrative units and provinces, and argued that sweeping constitutional and governance reforms are essential for the country's progress. Without such changes, he said, Pakistan will face recurring political and economic crises. Naqvi also said young people demand merit-based jobs and equal opportunities, not financial assistance. He likened their potential to that of cockroaches, suggesting that if they unite, they could trigger a significant movement.
