In Parliament's monsoon session, lawmakers clashed over exam paper leaks as a new anti-paper leak Bill was taken up. Raghav Chadha backed the Bill, saying it would bring India's first comprehensive framework to tackle paper leaks with stricter punishments. He argued that students would prevail and those behind the leaks would lose. He also attacked Congress over a 2016 Karnataka exam paper leak.
Separately, Congress and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) criticised the BJP government over an alleged question paper leak in a medical postgraduate exam in Odisha. The MKCG Medical College authority has launched a probe into the incident, which they described as malpractice.
