The Football Association has fined Chelsea £10 million ($13.4 million) and handed the club a suspended two-window transfer ban for breaching rules on payments to agents.
An independent appeal board imposed the punishment on Friday after Chelsea admitted 74 breaches of FA agent rules between 2009 and 2022. The new player registration ban is suspended, and the fine was not subject to appeal. All of the money will go to grassroots football.
Chelsea had previously reached sanction settlements with the Premier League and UEFA over the same matter. The penalty follows an appeal hearing into sanctions imposed for multiple breaches of FA rules.
