ITV has announced a £100 million ($140 million) share buyback as it published its first financial results since confirming the sale of its media and entertainment arm to Comcast-owned Sky.
Revenue for the first half of 2026 was steady at £1.9 billion ($2.5 billion), with a 2% uplift across the company's main profit centres, a slight improvement on the previous year. The results also included a $26 million loss linked to new fast food advertising regulations.
Chief executive Carolyn McCall described the buyback as an early return of part of the proceeds from the planned deal. Sky, a unit of Comcast, is acquiring ITV's media and entertainment business.
