Israeli forces have stormed at least 20 towns and villages across the occupied West Bank, demolishing homes and arresting dozens of Palestinians, according to reports. The raids, which continued on Monday, included an incursion into a United Nations training centre in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of occupied East Jerusalem. Troops stormed the facility, fired teargas and detained UN staff, the Jerusalem Governorate said. The raid on Qalandiya camp overnight also involved stun grenades and teargas that sparked a fire. Local sources reported that eight Palestinians were detained in five locations in Nablus. Demolitions and raids on Palestinian homes were also reported in Jenin, Ramallah, Qalqilya, Hebron and Bethlehem, leading to further detentions. The operations come amid heightened tensions in the region. No group has claimed responsibility for any attacks. The Israeli military has not commented on the specific incidents. The raids have drawn condemnation from Palestinian authorities, who describe them as a violation of international law.
