On the tenth day of Parliament's monsoon session, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the government of trying to silence young protesters by filing FIRs and removing their social media accounts. Writing on X, he said authorities first broke protesters' bones and now were filing cases and taking down accounts. The allegation was directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah.
Meanwhile, the Lok Sabha is scheduled to discuss bills on the registration of births and deaths and on increasing the strength of Supreme Court judges. The Rajya Sabha is set to take up the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026.
