The West Bengal Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammed operative accused of planning to target BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari and infiltrate a protest in New Delhi. The STF identified the man as Mohammed Hamim Mondal. According to the STF, Mondal was tasked with studying Adhikari's movements to identify vulnerabilities in his security. He also planned to infiltrate a recent students' protest at Jantar Mantar by procuring a police uniform. The STF made the arrest public on Monday but gave no further details. Both the man's alleged links to Jaish and the specific plots are based on the STF's account.
