Indian seafarers remain missing after a cargo vessel capsized and sank following an attack near Yemeni waters, and search operations have been suspended pending new information.
The vessel, MSV Faize Noore Oliya, was hit by a projectile, according to India's shipping minister Sarbananda Sonowal. India condemned the attack, which Yemen has blamed on the Houthis, calling it a terrorist attack.
The government's search and rescue efforts have not traced the missing seafarers. A statement from the Supreme Court Bench said search operations are suspended until fresh information emerges, while the Directorate General of Maritime Affairs continues investigations and remains engaged with stakeholders.
