Credible missile threat led to secret aircraft switch for Trump, source says

President Donald Trump and other U.S. officials were moved to a different aircraft during his Ankara visit after intelligence indicated a credible missile threat from Iran, a source has said.

The threat emerged on the final day of Trump's trip to Turkey for the NATO summit, at a time of heightened tensions with Iran. Trump has said the Secret Service wanted him to use a different plane. The secret switch also applied to other government officials, the source said.
