The United States has carried out new strikes against Iran for the 11th consecutive night, the US Central Command said. The attacks targeted military operations centers, logistics infrastructure, maritime capabilities, aircraft hangars, and drone storage facilities.
In response, Iran’s top joint military command threatened to target US and allied interests if Washington strikes Iranian nuclear sites, according to state media. The US attacks also damaged communication routes, the electricity grid, and water supply facilities in Iran’s Hormozgan province.
Nearly 100 American service members have been injured since July 7 during the latest fighting between the US and Iran, Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stated that the war has cost Washington $37.5 billion so far, up from a previous estimate of nearly $29 billion in mid-May.
Separately, former President Donald Trump has approved a landmark agreement with Saudi Arabia that would give the kingdom a civilian nuclear program, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing US officials. The 30-year deal could allow uranium enrichment on Saudi soil.
In New York, Mayor Zohran Mamdani called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “war criminal” and urged the US government to enforce an International Criminal Court arrest warrant against him if he enters the country.
