Delhi Police have put in place a comprehensive security plan for Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, deploying 20,000 security personnel and advanced surveillance technology. The arrangements include Delhi Police units, paramilitary forces, commandos, and National Security Guard (NSG) teams, with snipers and specialised 'hit teams' positioned across the venue.
A key component of the security net is a network of CCTV cameras equipped with video analytics and a Facial Recognition System, allowing authorities to monitor crowds and identify potential threats in real time. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has also been stationed at the location to handle any emergency.
The multi-layered security setup is designed to ensure the safety of dignitaries and the thousands of citizens expected to attend the event at the historic Red Fort in Delhi. Officials said preparations are in full swing ahead of the ceremony.
