Bihar Model School Colour Sparks Political Clash

A new initiative to paint 500 model schools in Bihar has triggered a political controversy. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inaugurated the first such school in Begusarai on Sunday. The government, however, defends the decision, stating that 'Sunrise' is simply a bright and welcoming colour for students. Officials say the aim is to create a uniform identity for model schools across the state. The project covers 500 schools that are being upgraded under the Bihar Vikas Yojana. The political row has intensified in recent days, with both sides exchanging barbs. Some local residents have also expressed mixed views. The matter is expected to be raised in the state assembly. This is not the first time colour choices have sparked debate in Indian politics. Previous instances include disputes over uniform colours in other states.
