Kevin Keegan, former England striker, dies at 75

Kevin Keegan, the legendary former England striker and two-time European Footballer of the Year, has died at the age of 75 after a battle with cancer, his family announced.
Keegan was one of the most celebrated English footballers of his generation, known for his energetic playing style and goal-scoring prowess. He began his career at Scunthorpe United before moving to Liverpool, where he won three First Division titles, two UEFA Cups, and the European Cup. He later played for Hamburg in Germany, where he won the Ballon d'Or in 1978 and 1979, and ended his playing days at Newcastle United and Southampton.
At the international level, Keegan earned 63 caps for England, scoring 21 goals. He captained the national team and later managed it from 1999 to 2000, as well as coaching Newcastle United, Fulham, and Manchester City. His contributions to football earned him a place in the English Football Hall of Fame.
Keegan's family described him as a 'much-loved husband, father, and grandfather' and asked for privacy during this difficult time. Tributes have poured in from across the football world, remembering him as a gifted player and a passionate personality. An investigation into his death is not required, as it was due to natural causes related to his illness.
