A superyacht owned by Mark Zuckerberg drew criticism after its crew did not respond to a radio call from a small boat that had run out of fuel off the coast of Alaska. The vessel, named Launchpad, was said to have failed to assist the stranded skiff. However, the yacht's crew later explained they were monitoring a different radio channel and that help was already on the way. A cruise ship eventually towed the disabled skiff back to Farragut Bay. Passengers aboard the cruise ship reportedly booed the yacht after hearing the announcement about the situation. A spokesperson for Zuckerberg said the crew did not hear the call for maritime assistance. No one was reported injured, and the skiff was brought back safely.
