The UFC has booked Arman Tsarukyan against Mauricio Ruffy for the co-main event of UFC 331, ending speculation that Tsarukyan would face Charles Oliveira in a rematch. Tsarukyan, the No. 2 contender in the lightweight division with a 23-3 record, will take on the No. 7-ranked Ruffy, who is 14-2. Rumors had circulated for weeks that a fight between Oliveira and Tsarukyan was close to being finalized, but the promotion instead paired Tsarukyan with Ruffy. In a separate UFC Fight Night event, Quillan Salkilld will get his first main event opportunity against veteran Mateusz Gamrot on Saturday in Las Vegas. Salkilld has rapidly climbed the ranks to earn the bout.
