Jon Cypher, the actor best known for playing Police Chief Daniels on "Hill Street Blues" and Man-at-Arms in the 1987 film "Masters of the Universe," died August 3 at his home in Central Point, Oregon. He was 94.
Cypher appeared in scores of episodes of "Hill Street Blues" and was a regular on "Major Dad." On the big screen, he faced off against Burt Lancaster in "Valdez Is Coming" and played He-Man's ally opposite Dolph Lundgren in "Masters of the Universe." He also appeared in "Cinderella" and in dozens of other television series and films over a career spanning nearly half a century.
