Karnataka Minister Calls for Joint Effort to Combat Drug Abuse

By TrendingWire Newsroom

Minister Satish Jarkiholi has urged young people to steer clear of drug addiction and called for a collective effort to tackle the drug menace. Speaking on the issue, he emphasized that the police department, schools, parents, and the general public must work together to eradicate drugs from society. Jarkiholi highlighted the importance of awareness and prevention, noting that drug addiction destroys lives and families. He said that educational institutions should play a key role in educating students about the dangers of drugs. Parents were also urged to monitor their children's activities and keep them away from harmful influences. The minister stressed that enforcement alone is not enough. A coordinated approach involving all sections of society is necessary to create a drug-free environment. He also encouraged young people to focus on their education and careers rather than falling into substance abuse. Drug abuse remains a serious concern in many parts of India, with authorities regularly conducting awareness campaigns and crackdowns on illegal substances. Jarkiholi's remarks come amid ongoing efforts by the government to reduce drug use among youth. He concluded by saying that a healthy and productive generation can only be built if society unites against this problem.
