Job aspirants in Ranchi intensified their protest on Tuesday over alleged irregularities in state recruitment exams, with five more people joining a hunger strike. The protesters have been demanding the cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission examination and reforms in both the JPSC and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. They are also seeking a probe by central agencies into the alleged irregularities. The protests have been ongoing for the past 10 days.
Abhijeet Dipke, a leader of the CJP, said he would travel to Jharkhand to support the students. He described their movement as a "pressure group" for now, saying that is what India needs at the moment.
Separately, an influencer has alleged that Dipke and the CJP paid Bollywood celebrities, including Uorfi Javed, to support the protest and appear at Jantar Mantar. The influencer claimed Javed was given ₹1 lakh and also called Dipke a "Pak agent," demanding his arrest. The allegations have added a new twist to the ongoing agitation.
