The government will ascertain whether the money collected for flood aid actually reached the state and how it has been utilised, Sarma said. He also said the government will recognise and appreciate genuine contributors among these content creators for their efforts in supporting flood relief. The announcement comes as authorities seek to ensure transparency and accountability in the collection and use of relief funds. The verification process will cover all funds raised by the 72 individuals, Sarma added. While the government will take action against any misuse, it will also acknowledge those who genuinely helped.
