Unreleased documentary footage has emerged showing the late US Senator Lindsey Graham actively pushing for war on Iran and offering military support to Israel for its war on Lebanon. The clips, filmed by British documentary maker Alex Holder over the past three years, capture Graham in meetings with national and foreign leaders, including Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, and in discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Just a day before Graham's funeral in Washington, DC, the footage reveals him rejoicing at the launch of the US-Israeli war on Iran and unilaterally offering US military involvement to Netanyahu for Israel's conflict with Lebanon. The videos were reportedly obtained by the Wall Street Journal and show Graham's close ties to both former President Donald Trump and Netanyahu.
Holder, who had access to Capitol Hill staff meetings and private conversations, has been following Graham for a documentary on his relationship with Trump and Netanyahu. The release of this footage has sparked renewed debate about Graham's role in promoting US military action in the Middle East.
The Graham family has not commented on the footage. An investigation into the leak is not expected, as Holder appears to have had permission to record.
